Eyelash Extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural lashes. They are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural lash. They are applied to each individual eyelash with for a natural, beautiful and luscious look.
Eyelash Extensions are perfect for that special occasion or for day-to-day wear. They are virtually weightless and will not damage your natural lash if you follow the after-care recommendations.
Very often, our clients ask this question because they've heard of a friend who has damaged their natural lashes after getting eyelash extensions. Many different factors need to be counted in for good or bad results
- The product used. The cheapest products unfortunately do damage eyelashes. Lashified only uses Dreamlash high-end products which are healthiest for lashes.
- The eye evaluation. Each person has a different natural texture and lash length. It is important to evaluate it properly in order to install the appropriate lashes. Going too long will create weight on the natural lash and will damage it
- The technique. The artist needs to know the cycle growth of the lash and install it correctly using just the right amount of adhesive.
- The education and after-care recommendation. This is the biggest. Lashified makes sure every client leaves knowing excatly what to do to keep their extensions and their natural lashes as healthy as possible.
When done by a pro, getting extensions can actually help your natural lashes since you don’t need to wear mascara.
Every first appointment starts with a consultation to make sure you get the look you want! Our lash artists will analyze your current lash length, curve and eye shape and make recommendations.
You’re never stuck with just one look. If you'd like to try something different, we can change it up at your next fill.
We recommend getting a fill every 2 to 3 weeks – depending on how quickly your lashes grow. If you wait too long between fills, you will require another full set. If you would simply like to have one application and let it grow out, you will notice a difference in the density of your lashes after 2 weeks. Your application will last at least 1 month ( depending on your natural growth and your afte-care maintenance)
The upper eyelid has approximately 90-150 eyelashes on it, while the bottom has between 70 – 80 eyelashes. Most eyelashes grow to be about 10mm long, just over 3/8 of an inch.
Even though it may not seem like it, every hair on your body has a growth cycle. It will grow to a specific length and eventually reach its full cycle, and then fall out. There are three phases to all hair growth cycle, even eyelashes:
Anagen (Active Growth Phase) Hair is still attached to the Dermal Papilla (blood supply). Only 40% of the upper eyelashes are in active growth at any one time (only 15% of lower lashes are in active growth). This phase lasts 30 – 45 days or 4-6 weeks.
Catagen (Transitional Phase) During this phase, the eyelash stops growing and the follicle shrinks. This lasts 2 – 3 weeks.
Telogen (Resting Phase) This phase can last over 100 days before the eyelashes fall out.
Each eyelash is in its own cycle so there are some lashes in each phase at all times and most days at least a few eyelashes will fall out.
